Biphobia

Prejudice, discrimination, or hostility directed at bisexual people. Biphobia can come from outside the LGBTQ+ community and from within it — including from gay and lesbian people who stereotype or dismiss bisexuality.

Biphobia takes many forms: the belief that bisexuality is "just a phase," that bi people are "confused," that they're "greedy," that they can't be trusted in relationships, or that they're "secretly" straight or gay depending on their current partner's gender.

Biphobia causes real harm: bi people face higher rates of mental health struggles, intimate partner violence, and invisibility. They are the largest single group in the LGBTQ+ community, yet are often erased from both queer and straight spaces.
